BE PREPARED IN ADVANCE

MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission is to provide high quality education and training in the areas of personal safety and women's self-defense.

A INTRODUCTION TO THE EQUALIZER

In 1997, Johnny Lee Smith founded and developed the Strategic Self-defense & Grappling Tactics (SSGT) program, a defensive tactics program for law enforcement. His program is the largest of its kind in the Southeastern United States with over 1000 law enforcement trainers teaching SSGT to thousands of officers every year. SSGT has been responsible for saving officers from serious injury and death in the line of duty.

Johnny later developed The Equalizer Women's Self-defense (EWSD) Program. This program empowers women to recognize and avoid violent situations. The program also gives women the tools they need to survive and escape physically violent situations should they be attacked. This program is taught by Certified Law Enforcement and Corrections Officers throughout the Southeastern United States.

Equalizer courses are advertised and taught on a local level by instructors certified to teach the program. We encourage all women to take this course. Watch for notices from your local law enforcement agency about when Equalizer classes may be offered in your community.
